Your photographer's job is to make you comfortable to be yourselves, and to direct you to make that look it’s best. We do not expect you to know how to pose. By walking you through ways of moving with eachother you’ll learn what works well in photos - especially the ability to relax. If we’re working together on your wedding, your engagement shoot is also a perfect opoprtunity to get to know one another before your big day - we want you to be excited to see us!

These photos capture who you are as a pair, in real life. We want you to wear the clothes that are most you, and go with you to a spot that you both love, is part of your story, or that compliments who you are. Don’t worry, we’ll help you determine that location.
Note all of our engagement services include a next day preview! We want you to be able to share the news with a photo to match the story.

First consider where you might want to use the photos. If you would like to use a photo for your save-the-dates, plan to do your shoot a month before you would like to send them out. (On average save-the-dates are sent out ~6 months in advance, 8-12 for destination weddings).
Also consider the time of year. It’s nice to have a variation to your wedding photos, such as if you are getting married in the Fall, an engagement shoot during Cherry Blossom season might be worth considering!
Always give us a phone call to discuss your shoot. There are many fabulous locations to suggest, but choosing the one that compliments who you are is always worth a conversation.
